About us

Resident's Place is an organization created to help people from other countries relocate and become established in Costa Rica. There are several aspects of the relocation that can make the transition more difficult than it needs to be. Truly is not that difficult, but it is something new for most of the people. Our goal is to be able to help you through all the process, from your first thought of moving to Costa Rica to when you are completely established here. There will be many services that you may need, and it will be easier to find them all in only one place. Dealing with only one organization will make you feel more comfortable than dealing with many organizations for the services that you may require. Our professional staff will be able to help you with most of the requirements to move to Costa Rica. And for what we don’t do, we have gathered other professionals in specific areas that can help you with those needs. Living in Costa Rica will be very exiting! Since your first though of Costa Rica, you'll start sharing with a different culture. Most of the Costa Ricans will be glad to try to help you, that's the way they are. They are normally very helpful and friendly, but you'll have to get used to their culture. Latin American culture is quite different than North American or European culture, but it's not difficult to get into the Costa Rican culture. Many people in Costa Rica speak English, because tourism is the principal economic source of the country, but we suggest that you learn spanish. Costa Ricans are very friendly, but they prefer that you speak in spanish. They appreciate that you make the effort to speak in their language. Also, speaking the language of the country will provide you with many benefits. It will be easier to understand many things such as directions, laws, or the news.
